Tegallalang forms the three most splendid terraced landscapes in Ubud's shared region, with the others being in the villages of Pejeng and Campuhan. The Tegallalang rice terraces alone offers a scenic outlook that spreads down before you and away to the rice paddies on the slopes across the valley. The high roadside location is cool and breezy and it is a well-known spot for tourists to stop and take photos. Painters and nature lovers also enjoy visiting this spot, and there are numerous art kiosks and cafes near the ledge offering their ware. To enter the Tegalalang rice field, you need to pay IDR 15.000 / $1.50 AUD per person Kids are free , which you need to pay before your enter the site. Around the area of Tegalalang rice field, there are many shops and restaurants selling food,drink and gifts . You can sit facing toward the green rice field. The restaurants also offer local and western food with affordable price. You can also choose to walk down and around the rice fields trough the steep walking tracks be mindful you may have to pay the locals donations to go through their paths and bridges. The Tegalalang rice terrace are open 24 hours. However, for the restaurant or cafe, have an opening time, regularly from 09:00 – 18:00.
