Earlier this year at the Kids Business Bloggers BrunchTM I met with the amazing RYOBI team. From then I took up the challenge to design and create my very own DIY project! I was trying to decide on what to make, so I tried to think of everyday things that we do that the kids really enjoy. Anyone who follows Melbourne With Kidz knows, we are always at parks. The very first thing the kids run to is the Sandpit, so I decided to build one! I set off to Bunnings to find some timber, screws and a base to get the job done. First I laid all the timber flat in the area I was building in. Next I measured then cut a long thin piece of timber to 19cm x 4 pieces with the RYOBI ONE+ 18V Cordless Mitre Saw to use as corner support. I used my RYOBI ONE+ 18V Brushless Drill Driver to connect the side panel which are 120cm and the supports with timber screws. Easily done my son and I continued this using 2 screws per side. Once it was complete I used my RYOBI ONE+ Multi tool with sander attachment to sand down all the rough edges I laid down some weed matt as a base to ensure that water can get through but not the weeds, and hammered some nails to keep it in place. Last but not least, I added the final touch- sand. This DIY project was so easy to do on my own. If you are thinking about making one for yourself I highly recommend you give it a go. It cost less than half the amount for a pre-packaged one. RYOBI specialises in making quality power tools that are intuitive and easy to use and I love that you can use the ONE+ battery for any of the 70+ tools in the range. The RYOBI ONE+ range is available exclusively to Bunnings warehouse. Want to see what other tools are available in the RYOBI ONE+ range? click here for more info www.ryobi.com.au |
