We were very excited to be asked to test Globber Australia’s newest product Evo Comfort 4in1 three wheel scooter.

Not only is it a scooter that can be adjusted to 4 different height levels it is also a pushchair for the youngest adventurer in your family. What I really love about the Evo Comfort is that it takes less then a minute to convert it from a scooter to a pushchair and has very simple instructions to put it together.

The Evo Comfort is available in 3 colours Blue, Pink and Green.

FORAGING FOR
PINE MUSHROOMS DAYLESFORD VIC

Picture
Its Mushroom season again and we love foraging with the kids, looking forward to the Autumn months making our way up to our favourite spot in Daylesford its become one of our yearly traditions. It's a great day to spend with family and friends and will surely get the kids excited being outdoors exploring.

WHAT ARE PINE MUSHROOMS

Pine mushrooms are commonly found under pine trees. Often known as milky saffron, as they exude a milky orange sap when cut. Vibrant saffron-coloured cap, gills and stem and firm texture and when bruised they stain green, in fact, they look toxic.
When I first saw them I wouldn't go near them thinking they were poisonous !! but fear not they are perfectly safe to eat ,They are a meaty mushroom that holds their texture well when cooked. Unlike many mushrooms, I find they suit cooking in olive oil.
They go great under the grill with a bit of salt and lemon our kids eat them like chips , Traditionally In Europe they are grilled on coals with lemon juice, garlic and parsley, a truly delicious combination.
Kids love them either grilled on the barbecued.
TIPS
  • Wear gumboots and pants in some areas and there are wild raspberry bushes which can get caught on your shoes or pants.
  • Always bring a knife or a small pocketknife and cut the stems.
  • Make sure to take a basket to place them in as they bruise easily.
  • Walk slowly looking around with a stick moving and looking under the pine needles as you walk.
  • Generally if you see a mound of dark pine needles using your hands push the pine needles away gently and there will usually be mushroom underneath.
  • When you find one always look around as they usually grow along side other.
Picture
Preparation: Discard stems and wash to remove dirt.
Availability: Summer to autumn, after warm sunny days and good rain.

Warning and Disclaimer

Some mushrooms are poisonous. You do not want to end up in hospital due to mis-identification. So we strongly advised that you seek out experienced mushroom pickers and obtain in field guidance.

Their are many toxic mushrooms out there and take no responsibility as the photos and information on our page may not be enough for a beginner to make the right choice when foraging for mushrooms.
Remember, if you're not confident, there are plenty of qualified professionals conducting mushroom tours in Victoria.

kids BACK TO school snacks

Picture
Having five kids, two at school and three toddlers at home, I'm always running short on time when it comes to after school snacks.
Picture
My kids are also very fussy so I found Chris’s dips to be the perfect solution with their fun sized dips.
Picture
My kids love the novelty of having their own little bowls, (what kid doesn't) which is reason enough.
Picture
Not only do we have less wastage, I can now make all my kids happy as they have 4 delicious flavours to choose from; Corn Relish, French Onion, Hommus, and Tzatziki.
Picture
Both my older kids love the Tzatziki and I pack it in their lunch boxes with cucumber, carrots and celery which I found that it encourages them to eat all their veggies!
Picture
They also come in a handy 3 pack and have cartoons on them to make it even more fun. They are available at Woolworths supermarkets nationally. For more info and yummy recipes CLICK HERE
