WHEN 8 February – 5 March WHERE Crown Atrium COST FREE CROWN RIVERWALK - LUNAR CELEBRATIONCrown Melbourne’s iconic Riverwalk flame towers are receiving an unexpected make-over this weekend – transforming into fire-breathing dragons thanks to the work of some of Australia’s greatest street artists to celebrate Lunar New Year. For three days from Friday 9th February till Sunday 11th February , five local artists will paint bespoke dragon designs on each fire tower to create a real-life fire breathing dragon show and a live art installation for the public to view until February 27th. Acclaimed street artists Mike Maka, Facter, Mulga, Conrad Bizjak and Ruskidd have been commissioned to create the artworks which pay homage to one of the most iconic symbols in Asian culture – the dragon. Seen as a symbol of power, strength and good luck, dragons are synonymous with Lunar New Year celebrations.
