Head to the Melbourne Visitor Hub to grab your Quest Card and follow the clues to navigate through laneways and arcades to find the answers, with some help from Marvel’s Hawkeye. SEE SANTA IN HIS MAGIC WORKSHOP

NOV 13 - DEC 24
Santa pics, but make it COVID-safe. This year you can get a sneak peek into Santa’s secret workspace at Fed Square, where he and the elves are hard at work making toys and presents for the big day. Pose for a pic outside the workshop every day of the festival. Check Santa’s break times so you don’t miss the big man!

VISIT THE MYER CHRISTMAS WINDOWS

14 NOV -24 DEC
It wouldn’t be Christmas without a trip to the Bourke Street Mall to see the iconic Myer windows. Now in its 66th year, the 2021 display is set to be a glorious return to form. More details to come.

Elfie Selfie

1 DEC - 25 DEC
Snap a selfie with an elfie to unlock a magical Christmas world and create an animated augmented reality Christmas card to share with all your friends. Find Merry at Fed Square, Jingles in Bourke Street Mall and Jolly at Southbank.

Gingerbread Village

1 DEC - 24 DEC
Sugar, spice and all things nice – Epicure’s Gingerbread Village has a new home on Level 4 of Emporium. Over 600kg of gingerbread, 460kg of royal icing and 200kg of marzipan has been lovingly sculpted into some of Melbourne’s most iconic landmarks.

Christmas Square

12 NOV - 25 DEC
Make merry at Melbourne’s Christmas wonderland at Federation Square. Christmas comes to life with festive decorations aplenty and the city’s iconic 16-metre light-up tree. As the sun sets, the dazzling structure lights up with a gorgeous festive glow.

CHRISTMAS CARNIVAL

16 DEC - 24 DEC
Enjoy festive thrills on the banks of the Yarra at the Christmas Carnival. Ride the ferris wheel, drive the dodgems or get the best view of the city lights as you spin 35 meters in the air on top of the Sky Flyer. Try your luck at much-loved carnival games and complete the experience with classic carnival food. Entry is free, rides ticketed.

Chapter House Lane Christmas Projections

12 NOV - 25 DEC
Follow Santa into a Christmas dreamland in this immersive 270-degree animated projection show across the beautiful facades of St Paul’s Cathedral, Chapter House and Torrens University.

Christmas Night Market

6 DEC - 20 DEC
Venture out under the starry lights of one of Melbourne’s favourite laneways for a festive night market filled with festive fun for everyone, complete with Christmas carolers, fake snow, a giant gingerbread person to snap a picture with and even a special visit from Santa.

CHRISTMAS POP-UP OUTDOOR CINEMA

4 DEC - 18 DEC
Catch feel-good festive favourites under the stars at Carlton’s Christmas Cinema. Head to Argyle Square for screenings of Elf, National Lampoons Christmas Vacation and The Polar Express. The square is getting a festive makeover too, with nutcracker soldiers, pretty festive lights and even an icicle throne.

Melbourne Town Hall Christmas Projections

12 NOV - 25 DEC
The city’s famous Christmas projections are back at Melbourne Town Hall with five gorgeous adornments, complete with a countdown to Christmas clock. Make it a night to remember and visit the projections at Chapter House Lane and Hamer Hall too.

Docklands Christmas Maze

26 NOV - 24 DEC
Make your way through this giant present-themed maze for a chance to win one of four amazing prize packs thanks to The District Docklands, including family passes to Imaginaria, O’Brien Ice House, ArtVo, Chipmunks Playland and more. The District offers free 90-minute parking all week long.
