Rail Projects Victoria just launched a new information and learning centre just in time for the school holidays in the heart of Melbourne.

The centre is home to fun kid-friendly interactive activities that aim to create substantial education opportunities for developing minds.

It features a fully interactive 'Metro Runner' game, motion-sensor screens, Virtual-Reality experiences, construction information, friendly Information Officers, and a colourful decor.

Did you know the states biggest archeological dig is happening right now here in Melbourne!

During the excavation works for the Metro Tunnel, archaeologists and heritage experts have used excavators, shovels and hand trowels to sift through layers of rock and soil and uncovered archaeological remains and artefacts dating back 180 years and earlier.

From the 22nd of September 2018 Metro Tunnel will be displaying many of the archaeological finds at the Metro Tunnel HQ visitors can learn about the whole archaeological process and see some very interesting items.

School holiday fun with above,below and beyond

Metro Tunnel have collaborated with Museums Victoria to present Above, Below and Beyond at Melbourne Museum these school holidays from 16 to 29 January.

Join the team to create a scene that represents Melbourne’s future, including the Metro Tunnel.
See above and below the ground as giant tunnelling machines burrow under our city to make the new tunnels.

The above Metro Tunnel program is on from 16-29 January at Melbourne Museum

10am - 5pm (Open daily)
Participation in this activity is included in the Melbourne Museum admission price.

MUSEUM ENTRY
Free admission for children
(up to 16 years) and all concession card holders
Free admission for Seniors Card holders (great for grandparents)
