Nature Park - Royal Park
When visiting the hospital we can't go past spending some time at the nature park just out side the hospital , our kids love exploring around the different paths running through the water play area and my favourite is rolling down the huge grass hill kids love it! We also enjoy coming here for family BBQ's only down side no real shade available as its all open so bring a shade tent..
The features of the park, such as plants and play elements, represent the seven Wurundjeri seasons, as a way to encourage discovery and understanding of Indigenous Melbourne.
The networks of paths invite children to explore further into Royal Park through its broader landscape with gullies, grasslands and woodlands. The accessible, nature-based play space includes a climbing forest, a rocky escarpment with slides, swings and water play elements great for warmer weather.
